Photo shoot Elementary school.

Dear bloggers,

On Nov. 9th, 2010 I did a little photo shoot for my friends as practice for me.  I have been interested in photography recently and had to try it out.  I love doing it just as much as I love doing massage therapy.  I also am doing a fun Christmas idea with the photos I took and will be taking of my friends. This one was done at my elementary school which is no longer open because of the economy.  It was such a beautiful day out and I couldn't ask for wonderful friends to help with my passion.
These were my lovely ladies and friends that came out and played with me and had a great time getting pictures done. The two on the left are sisters and I have known them since we were in elementary school. The lovely little girl in the middle would be my "niece". She is the daughter of my friend on the way left in the cream shirt that is also pointing.  The lady on the right is a friend I have known since late middle school. she went to a different elementary school but she came to play and get pictures done because she can!
This little girl is just full of potential! She had fun coming to her moms old school and playing on all three playgrounds. The top picture I love the most of her pictures cause she is looking at the camera and her smile is just so precious.  The effect I did on the picture turned out great and that is another reason i love the picture. The second picture was just for fun. I love it though.  I had her zip up her coat and pop her collar and just give me a glare look and it turned out great! I laughed after I took the picture cause she would never wear her clothes this way but it was fun none the less.
My next Lady is the mother of the little girl and she has been my friend since kindergarten. These two photos I picked because they were so well done and just the way the angles were and the effects were made these my top two favorites.  The first I love for the fact that the sun was just in the right position to accent her hair color.   I just love the way her hair looked all together. The second one I love because of her eyes.  The way they are popping out at you just makes it amazing. It was fun to think back when we only had one playground set instead of the three there is now. I had so much fun this day!

The next lady in line is this wonderful one! I have know her since middle school and she just loved coming to my old school to play on the playground. The first photo is one her top favorites. I love the genuine smile and the fact she was almost at the top.  I would never make it that far up. The second one is one my top favorites. I love how she didn't really know I was taking the picture.  As you can see growing up is hard and we dont exactly fit into the equipment but we can always find a way to enjoy it.  She proved it in that picture. I like how it turned out after I edited it a little too.
She also gets one extra picture time. She just recently found out she was pregnant and was kind of upset cause it wasn't in her plans.  Recently though she is becoming more and more happier about it.  I love this picture for the fact that she is looking at her stomach and playing a cute song for her baby. and the slight smile just melts the heart.  I almost started to cry when I saw her do this cause be pregnant is a precious thing and just knowing she has her love her life to support her just makes it ten times better. I also love the edit I did to it too.
Last but not least would be her! She didn't want her pictures taken but she let me take one and here it is. A fun one at that.  The shirt she is wearing is her boyfriend who has been over seas in Iraq for the past 9 months I believe. She did say once her man get back I will be able to take some pictures of them then. Her man is schedule to be home in MN in less then a week I believe! I am so excited for her!

That would be my lovely ladies and there best shots I took. I had so much fun that day and cant wait to do more photo shoots for my friends and family.  It is great learning experience and very enjoyable. But I will have to full finish massage therapy school before dedicating more time to this. so I will leave this as just a hobby now and do it for fun! Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and read my blog. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Elsa J

P.s. some extra pictures that i also loved!

Peace Out!

New dog!

Dear precious bloggers,

A few weeks ago my family added a new dog to our family.  He is such a cute little thing! My mom got him from a friend down at the marine, where my mom and step-dad put the boat and basically live during the summer months, Their friend was moving south for the winter and living with someone who either didn't like dogs or was allergic to them so mom decided why not take him.  He is a ball of energy! His name is Dufus... yes that is the name his owner gave him not us.  He does bark but what dog doesn't at some point.  He likes to bury himself on the covers and sleep its cute and funny! He gives kisses and is good all around. I do not know exactly what breed he is so I am sorry I dont have that info. That is all my bloggers I will have another one up soon.

College Day!

Dear precious blogger fans of mine,

Today was a fun day... You know what I did today.  I slept till 1330!  Okok I didnt just do that today I also went to globe college and got a tour of the plymouth campus and learned more about there Massage therapy program.  That is right bloggers I am going back to school next year!!! I was nervous at first since I was running late and its uncommon for me to run late.  I am usually one of those people that show up 15 minutes to half hour early and fell bad if i show up right on time and not before... so I was feeling nervous about if that would affect the look I gave to Ms Dawn.  Well I was nervous for nothing cause as soon as I met her it was all smiles and I felt comfortable there.  She explained what they offered then asked a couple of questions of me to get more fimilar with what I wanted to do and if I was truly ready which I am! She then took me a tour of the massage wing of the school and low and behold one of my previous teachers from the past school (FYI my past school closed unexpectedly in the middle) worked there.  I was so happy to see that she got another job and I almost cried.  She was one my favorite teacher, hard but awesome.  I even got to say hi to her before I left the school!!!  After the tour we went back to Ms. Dawns office and discussed finacial aid and when would be best for me to start.  In all it too about an hour to do and I enjoyed every second of it.  I got some info and reading materials when Im bored XD  I know I shouldnt just pick this school without looking at other first so in the next week or so I will be making an appointment with Centre Point College to look into there massage therapy progam. Even though I now know globe has one of my favorite teachers working for them so i am kinda swaying toward them!  Oh I forgot to mention some of the massage classes they will have... that ARE required!!! One is Hot stone massage which I have always found interesting and the other is Thai massage!!!!  My step-dad will be so excited to hear that.  Well that is all for today my bloggers.

*random quote I thought of while doing rounds at work*
"Im breaking the chains of this boring uneventful life to spread my wings and soar into a new exciting adventure of a life"

p.s. yes that is just a random picture i found XD

Autumn leaves on River

Hello my dear bloggers,

Today I have decided to share with you some pictures from when I went on the Magnolia (its a boat)down on the Mississippi River. It was such a great autumn day and pretty warm out too. We got to go up in the lockage and continue up the river. y step-father let me use his nice camera and take pictures of the trees and surrounding area like bridges and alcoves. The changing of the leaves were so beautiful and just how clear it was out just made the colors and mood better. I hope you enjoy looking at my favorite pictures I took on the journey on the Mississippi. Have a great Thursday and remember to smile cause someone out there loves to see that smile on you!

First crafting activity!

Good evening my bloggers... I hope you all are doing well. I am doing fantastic! Today was so much fun. I got to do my very first crafting activity with my coworker and her dear friend. We made knot blankets for our work place that had fabric donated to them for children in need. I got lost on my way to her house but once I got there it was nothing but laughing knotting and teasing. :) This activity was fun and easy to do for anyone that has the patients to cut and tie repeatedly. The sports one is the one I did... I did it different then the other two ladies since I was doing it as if there was 2 pieces of fabric instead of just one. The instructions were different then what we thought it should have been but it was still so much fun to go to Mercy's house and just hang out and not discuss work!

Those two were so professional about it and using rulers and trying to be exact unlike me who just guessed on the length and tied them up. I believe the kids wont care if they were perfect they will be just happy to get a nice snuggle blanket. Mercy was nice enough to have treats and hot apple cider!!!! I love apple cider and it was so good. We are hoping to do more crafts together in the future and I cant wait cause Mercy is such a hoot to hang out with and her friend Sharon is funny! I hope our work place keeps doing things like this and lets up help by volunteering to finish the products that employees don't have time to do. Thank you Mercy so much for inviting me to do this it was a blast and cant wait to have another adventure with crafts with you again!
